Jacaranda trees are mostly found in tropical and subtropical locations so people in many parts of the world have never seen them.  We have them here and they bloom for about 3 weeks each spring with small lavendar flowers.  The pictures below were taken on the last day of April at a Belleair home and show the jacaranda toward the end of its blooming period so the tree is more sparsely flowered.
